Trick or Treat Bag!

Hi,

I'm back with a quick post to show you Alex's Trick or Treat Gift Bag that I filled with sweets.

We made the bag in my weekly card case, so I had to make a Halloween version for my homework.

It's pretty simple but I think it adds a personal touch to your present giving!

Happy Halloween!

It was hubby's turn to get creative this week, what do you think ?

Meet Polly and her baby Pete the newest additions to the Williams family !

I think he did a great job and the planning has already started on next years LOL

I also made Alex's Halloween Card.

It's a double Tri Shutter Card, lots of cutting and folding but looks really effective.

As I don't own many Halloween Stamps, so I used the Scary Story Cards from the Echo Park Happy Halloween range along with a few of the papers.

It came out much better than I wanted to and now I can't wait to make a Christmas themed one!

TGF Altered Notebook Contest

Well I'm back and have been a busy bee !!

I decided to enter The Greeting's Farm Altered

Notebook Contest.

As I took so many photo's and I didn't want this post to be too photo heavy I've created a little slide show.

So let's start at the beginning ! :

• I started off with a plain Kraft Book from Paperchase
• I used Crate Paper School Spirit to decorate the front cover. Covered Chipboard letter from my stash and tied various ribbons to the wire binding
• The Grade Card of the front cover is magnetized so that the student can change the Wild Sprout to suit their personality (see Paul & Nahla Pic)
• I have altered the first part of the book, creating four tabbed pages for lessons, each page has a Sprout on it that has been stamped with Black Memento Ink and coloured using Promarkers of paper pierced (see Jeremy, Miko, Odette and Flirty Edward)
• The following pages were left untouched with just an outline stamp of each Sprout
• On the back page I added a Crate Paper School Spirit sticker to cover the Paperchase Logo

I really enjoyed making this, it would be great if I won as it's a fantastic prize but on the other hand I don't want to part with it!!

Feeling Old . . .

Well July and August are full of birthday so I'm being a busy, busy bee! and to top it all off there are some big birthdays, the firs one being Alex (my Godson) who turns a big 10 !!

After much thought and deliberating and siting at the dining table staring at a card blank, I had an epiphany and rmaged through my stamp collection for Amazing duo (again!) I thought that this maybe the last time I do a kiddie style card so I went to town.

I started off with a easel card, using DCWV All about Boys stack wanting the card to look like a comic book page. I added los of matting and layering so this card weighs pretty heavy (good job I hand delivered it). I found in my stash a Making Memories Clip so added that too, using a piece of Basic Grey basics note paper.

The easel is propped up with a punched strip of Martha Stewart Stars border and a polka dot ribbon.

The sentiments were made sing a mixture of Greeting Farm stamps and Doodlebug rub-ons, I was very crafty with these as I had used up several of the letters I needed so I re-crafted them using other letters i.e the 'd' is infact a 'p' and the 'y' is a 'j' with a 'u' on the top!

I saw these paper mache letters in Hobbycraft and thought it would make a nice little gift. I wanted to keep it pretty simple so it would grow with him so just a paint job with a Crown tester pot, a few pears, ribbon and his name. It's a bit more simple than I like but I'd spent that long on his card I was pushed for time!

Lastly a Gift Card using scraps from the card.

I added a strip of ribbon to the inside to keep the money in place.

A clean and simple Birthday card for my Dad (obviously?!). Not really much to say about it but I used October Afternoon Road Map Paper and some Maya Road Chipboard letters.

A Father's Day Commision

After bragging on facebook about how good my Father's Day card for Gwyn was, my friend asked if I would make one for her kiddies to give to their dad. So here it is! and I don't like to admit it but it turned out better than the original!!

The spiral card is what we did in craft class last Thursday so when I sat down to make a Father's Day I got all inspired LOL (I wish this would happen on a more regular basis!)

The front I kept pretty simple as the inside is so busy. I stamped Amazing Duo in versa fine ink and coloured then in using a mixture of Promarkers and Polychromo's. The sentiment is stamped in Cherry Red Staz On and layered a few times with Bazzill/Coredinations. Red doodlebug Rub ons were also used.

On the inside I really went to town. The yellow DP was only 8x8 so it came up short so I added a strip of the stars paper with a Martha Stewart Border to cover up the join. An acetate circle was die cut with a nestie then cut into a spiral with either end stuck onto the insides of the card. The 'superhero' words the then stamped, cut, layered and stuck onto the spiral so the pop up and stand proud of the card. I added left over stars (from the border punch) for a little extra detail.

As there is no room on the inside for a greeting I added a layered square for the personal message.

I enjoyed making this card so much I'm going to be sad to part with it LOL

Hope you are all having a fantastic weekend!

Here is a card I made for Fern who asked for some Magnolia images, well as I'm growing quite a collection of Magnolia stamps now I thought I would send her a few and I couldn't resist making a card to go with it!. I've also had this Basic Grey Kioshi for a while so I thought I would break it open. You can't tell in the photo but I added lots of stickles so it looks very sparkley in real life!

Still no camera . . .

Afternoon all !!

I'm still having a busy few weeks, but managed to fit in a couple of cards. This is one I made for Lyndsey's birthday the beginning of the month. As soon as I saw the new Magnolia releases I wanted them all so I was pleased to find the Magnolia stand at the NEC were stocking some of them. I teamed Tilda with Jolly Roger with MME Quite Contrary papers from The Hobby House. I think they go great together. They are all matted and layered onto pastel pink card stock but the camera hasn't picked it up too well.
